Deb Lara brought us an example of her work using text in the background.

Mary Sprenger has been bitten by the Zentangle bug and is doing them on envelopes, scraps of paper, and tablets!

Sue Karaalp gave us a demonstration using a new product called "Texture Magic". She showed us many, many samples of thread options, fabric with designs, stitch options, and even a darling outfit with purse for her grand daughter. The place mat to the left was my favorite with three or four rows textured, and the rest not. The leaves have been textured with very innovative stitching. Wa to go Sue!

Deb Lara took Bette Beauregard's class last time about KC Willis methods, and went to town with a book she put together about a relative in her family.

Here (last page first) are the obituaries for the man and wife.

Yep! it's a big book!

Margaret Illions has made a quilt for her son who recently lost his in a fire.

Another piece of Margaret's beautiful work, and her last hand quilted one she says!

Margaret has put together a cool "cheater" for her grandson!

Mary Sprenger took a class on purses

This is Mary's zentangle.

Karen Garth shows her completed piece from the class taught by Annette Kennedy

This is Karen's other piece from Annette's class. Karen has a freshly "tarred" road!

Gail Seidner has been crocheting some wonderful things, and pink is her color!

A necklace of crocheted yarn balls

A necklace with fetish beads

A blinged up t-shirt with a bib necklace

Karen has been painting and stencilling on canvas with gesso and paint. Just beautiful. I can see this as a beautiful tote bag

Sandy shows us some of the fabulous silk she and Dianne are producing and selling, and samples of flowers they've made with their silk.

Susanne has framed the Whisper challenge she participated in this year. A suede mat behind the piece is beautiful and dramatic.

Rickie Seifried shows her completed piece from Annette Kennedy's class. Rickie chose to add her own touches to individualize her piece. Go Rickie!

Rickie shows us a post card she received from Marka

Janett Rice with her quilt comemorating (is that a word?) her recent successful hip replacement. She incorporated burlap, paint, lace, and of course cotton fabrics to create this piece.

Angie sohnly shows us 1/2 of her completed shoe challenge from last month. So pretty!

Sandy works small with her sleeping dragon in a cage

The pretty silk curls and a few doo-dads made this rubber toy memorable. Especially with eyes that light up when you touch it! Too funny, Sandy.

Sandy made this giraffe with two pink socks. She and Di are preparing for a miniatures show in San Diego this month. We wish them luck.

Here's Sandy's "catfish" with silk tail fins.

This miniature chair will be for sale also.

Here's another miniature by Sandy. So pretty

These photos are from the May meeting for the Silver Doll-ers. The first is a teaser from Sandy - she showed some of hers and Dianne's newest creations to Art Quilts.

This carrier was made by Dolores to carry cool stuff. Each page is a mesh bag that has a zipper for easy access to tools, and velcro to connect the page back to the spine. Clear as mud? Well it's cool, and Angie started all this!

I think this piece is by Maryanne, and it's clay over a wire armature.

Barbara Sines can't get enough of these Granny Moon dolls!

Dolores shares the shoe challenge she was answering a few years ago. Note the little Indian village inside the boot, and the photo book on the toe with scads of photos of Wyoming. Way cool!

Dolores also did the silk flowers on her classy baseball cap.

I think Mary Ann thompson did this box and the pin doll below. First try, too!

This is one of the finished pieces for a class I gave doing fusing with misty fuse to create a "friends" doll. Nice embellishments, too!
